Here are some of our fabulous dancers that we have within SDC. They include our young ‘Ambassadors’ who help on our Childrens classes, our ‘Dance hosts’ that help on our adult Dance Classes and our Elite Performers, who are some of the best dancers and performers we have here at SDC.
Introducing our Elite Performers;
These highly trained dancers have been chosen as our first ‘SDC Elite Performers’.
As crowned champions of the 2024 10 Dance Trophy, Stuart and Jo have achieved elite performer status. The winners of the Anniversary Shields in October will also join this elite group. All the other dancers have been chosen for this accolade as they have taken part in all of our 15, 20, 25 and this year’s 30 year Anniversary Shows . Jo was also in our 10 year show! A testament to their dedication and commitment to Southend Dance Centre. We look forward to dancers joining our Elite Performers group in the future years to come.
Congratulations to these talented dancers who continue to inspire our dancing family after years of hard work and success within SDC.

Introducing our SDC Ambassadors.
At SDC we strive to make everyone feel welcome and connected at SDC. These skilled dancers are integral to SDC with a full understanding what it means to help our Superstars during classes, competitions and shows.
Ambassadors are chosen to make newcomers feel less nervous about starting their dance journey by putting them at ease with a friendly conversation and a smile. Partnering solo dancers, and guiding couples if they need help with their dances.
Every member of SDC should enjoy the opportunity to learn to dance and feel welcome within the heart of our dance community. Ambassadors must have a passion to help others by using their remarkable dance skills providing an inclusive environment for all members of SDC.
Our new ‘Ambassadors’ have now taken on extra responsibilities within our Superstars classes and events and will be on hand to help and encourage our newest members whilst making sure all dancers feel included.
Our Ambassadors will gain experience from taking on a role with responsibility which will give them so much confidence for future life chapters. They will feel the kindness and satisfaction of helping other people and leaving a lasting impression on the lives they touch through dancing at SDC.

Let us introduce to you our SDC ‘Dance Hosts’ who are valuable help to our Beginners Ballroom and Latin Courses. They are a team of friendly welcoming faces who help welcome new members and make them feel at ease; as they also remember being nervous newbies at their first dance class. They help create a friendly atmosphere on our group classes and they pass on their dance knowledge in the role of partnering single dancers or helping couples taking their first steps around the dance floor! Our classes would not be as wholesome, fun and friendly without our Dance Hosts who are happy to come along and volunteer for us. We are very grateful for their contribution. Dance Hosts can learn a lot from helping on our classes too especially the basic fundamentals of leading and following. Not to mention the feeling of being a part of a friendly team.
